Sher & Blackwell’s attorneys regularly advise clients on matters involving public and private international law issues. A large portion of the firm’s practice involves some international components and many of the firm’s clients are either based outside the United States or have significant business operations in other countries. Sher & Blackwell’s attorneys are comfortable dealing with all aspects of international business, whether from a commercial, regulatory, or litigation standpoint.

In the area of public international law, our attorneys have extensive experience with the law governing international commerce, including treaties, bilateral and multilateral agreements, and the domestic laws of the various countries implementing or interpreting those agreements.

Because of the international nature of our practice, Sher & Blackwell regularly interacts with foreign government agencies and foreign counsel as part of multinational activities or transactions. We maintain a large network of law firms in other countries with which we cooperate in serving the international needs of our clients. Our attorneys have recently worked with law firms in the Bahamas, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, Cyprus, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, India, Korea, the Netherlands, Norway, Sri Lanka, St. Vincent, Taiwan and Thailand regarding commercial, regulatory, or litigation matters.
