Ms. Elizabeth "Beth" Wadsworth, an associate attorney with Sher & Blackwell, advises clients on a variety of federal regulatory issues, including aviation, immigration, maritime and economic sanctions. She has represented clients in matters involving the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration, as well as several Department of Homeland Security agencies, including the Transportation Security Administration, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and U.S. Customs and Immigration Services.

Professional Background

Ms. Wadsworth has practiced primarily in the field of aviation law since 2002, when she worked as an associate attorney for a small aviation legal and consulting firm in Washington, D.C. specializing in FAA safety matters. In that position she advised aircraft owners and operators and foreign air carriers on Federal Aviation Regulations compliance; represented several corporations in FAA enforcement proceedings for violations of hazardous materials regulations; and served as an attorney consultant on the FAA "Safe Skies for Africa Program," where she worked with FAA personnel and civil aviation representatives of Kenya and Cape Verde in drafting ICAO-compliant aviation safety regulations for those countries. Immediately prior to joining Sher & Blackwell, she served as an associate specializing in U.S. Department of Transportation air carrier licensing and compliance issues, as well as export control matters, with a large national law firm. Before entering private legal practice in 2002, she served for several years as a judicial law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois (Urbana Division).
