Ms. Heather Spring is an associate with Sher &
Blackwell and advises clients on regulatory matters, such as compliance with cabotage
laws, economic sanctions regulations, and immigration issues. She represents clients
in public and private contract disputes in District Court, before administrative
tribunals, and in arbitration. Ms. Spring is also involved in our transactional and
commercial practice areas.
Professional Background
Ms. Spring began her legal career as an Attorney-Advisor at
the U.S. Department of Agriculture where she gained experience in various regulatory areas
including government-wide debarments and unfair trade practices.
Ms. Spring joined Sher & Blackwell in 1998.
While at Sher & Blackwell Ms. Spring has successfully recovered
damages under a Contract Disputes Act claim, enforced a judgment against
a foreign sovereign, advised a foreign corporation with respect to
the legality of a potential multi-million dollar transaction with
Iran; drafted multiple transportation contracts for nationwide inland
transportation and warehousing services; and drafted comments on revisions
to the Department of Transportations drug testing procedures
for motor carriers.
